People on a rollercoaster ride

The hotels at Walt Disney World Resort bring an extra level of Disney magic to your trip. Themed rooms, with room options for 5 or more guests, bring Disney stories to life for the entirety of the trip.

Each hotel has its own unique style and a host of guest perks, which can help save you money, including Early Theme Park Entry. This is exclusive to Disney Resort Hotel guests and allows access to the parks up to 30 minutes before the general admission gates open. This almost certainly guarantees you a bonus ride on some of the most popular attractions especially if you plan your route in advance and head straight there.

Free transport when you stay at selected Disney Resort hotels

Staying at select Disney Resort Hotels is also a great way to save money because you can utilise the free Disney Transportation to travel around the resort. A range of buses, boats, monorail and a cable car are in place to help you travel to the theme parks, a water park and to Disney Springs, Disney’s entertainment, dining and shopping complex.

Download the My Disney Experience App and utilise the Disney Genie service, which is a free add-on that monitors queue times and recommends attractions and shows that are ideal for your group. This should help you enjoy more attractions and use your Disney 14-Day Magic ticket to the max. You could also add Disney Genie+ for £6.99 and take your day to the next level, with even more fun and time-saving benefits. To find out more, click here.

The app also stores your tickets and any restaurant or event reservations, plus has free additional features like interactive tours of the resort. My Disney experience also has extra perks for Disney Resort guests, such as advance online check-in, saving you precious time when you arrive.

Best Free entertainment outside Walt Disney World

A family at a restaurant dinner table

Disney Springs and Disney’s Boardwalk are great places to enjoy the Disney magic outside the Parks for no extra charge. At both locations you’ll find shops, restaurants, entertainment and unique views of the resort. If you’d like to experience one of Walt Disney World’s fine dining restaurants, try California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. From this delicious spot on the 15th floor, diners are gifted a spectacular view of Disney Enchantment, a brand-new night-time fireworks spectacular as it plays out at Magic Kingdom Park.

Choose savvy souvenirs

If you’re tempted by the range of tempting gifts to take home, look for items that have a double purpose. The special edition character popcorn buckets make great souvenirs and you can continue to fill them with delicious popcorn throughout your trip for a fraction of the price. The same goes for refillable Walt Disney World cups and mugs.
