What is Quidco?

Quidco is a cashback website that gives you money back when you spend online through any of the retailers they have partnered with. With over 10 million members and 5,000+ brands, Quidco is one of the UK's largest cashback websites.

They have retailer partners across a number of categories including clothing, travel, electronics and toys and you can even get cashback on your gas, electric and insurance. Quidco members receive around £300 a year in cashback on their online purchases and since launching they have paid out over £500 million to members.

How does Quidco work?

Quidco works by tracking the online purchases you make through their website and then giving you back a percentage of what you spend at a given retailer. Essentially, if you buy through Quidco, some of the money you spend will be sent back.

Upon opening an account with Quidco, you'll be able to see all the brands and retailers they are partnered with. Given there are thousands of retailers and brands available, the chances are you'll be able to receive cashback on items you already want to buy.

For example, if you're after a LEGO set for your child this Christmas, Quidco is partnered with a range of retailers that stock sets including LEGO themselves who offer up to 5% cashback.

That means you could earn £5 for every £100 you spend, which is easy to do when it comes to buying LEGO.

When you click on any of the retailers available through Quidco, cookies are placed on your device by both Quidco and the retailer allowing them to identify who to pay.

How much does Quidco cost to join?

Quidco offers two memberships, Basic and Premium. Upon signing up to Quidco you will be enrolled on their Premium Membership, which will cost you £1 per active month. This pound is only ever taken from the cashback you earn through Quidco.

They will never take money from your debit or credit card to cover this £1 fee, it is only ever taken from the cashback you earn. If you take a break from using Quidco, there is no retention fee.

Premium members get ad-free access to Quidco, up to 10% top-up on cashback rates, double the difference in cashback guarantee and up to 20% payout bonuses.

If you'd prefer not to pay the £1 fee from your cashback each month, you can downgrade to the Basic Membership. This is completely free and still allows you to access cashback from 5000+ retailers.

How long does it take to get paid?

You can see the average payout time for each brand on the Quidco website, but it usually takes 3-6 months. As soon as Quidco receives the funds from the retailer, they will have the cashback added to your account.

You can check the status of your cashback on your member's activity page. Quidco will also chase payments on your behalf if things are taking a little longer than usual to make sure you're both paid.

After the cashback is added to your account, there are a few withdrawal options including withdrawing it straight to your bank via bank transfer, withdrawing the money to PayPal or using the cashback to get an e-gift card.

Each method typically takes 48 hours for the money to land in your account or for you to receive your e-gift card. Choosing the e-gift card option will also land you a percentage increase on the amount called a payout bonus - this percentage is slightly higher for Premium members.

There is a range of e-gift cards to choose from including Love2Shop, which offers over 50 different digital e-gift card options plus 20 different physical gift cards, which can be spent in over 90 different stores.
