MadeForMums Toilet and Bathtime Awards 2025 Winners: Best nappies and wipes
Here we round up the best nappies and wipes for whatever stage you're at, all loved and approved as award-winners by our community of parent, baby and toddler testers.

Finding the perfect nappy can be pretty hit and miss, but with our 2025 awards we've made it easier than ever to discover a brand you can rely on.
Our team of parent judges, assisted by their willing baby and toddler helpers, have carefully selected the top disposable, pull-up, reusable, newborn, overnight, subscription and swim nappies, as well as the best baby wipes that offer excellent value, comfort and reliability. These are the ones that have proven themselves to be the best of the best.
Best Baby Wipes
Baby wipes are probably the hardest working item in your baby kit, helping with everything from nappy changes to cleaning up sticky hands and faces. These new baby and toddler essentials will be reached for time and again, so you want to know you're spending money on the very best.
Our parent testers dealt with many, many clean-ups to give you their honest verdict on the best baby wipes out there. They gave their crucial insights on which baby wipes did the job well, which felt soft, which were easy to get out of the pack one at a time rather than in clumps (IYKYK) and which impressed with their eco-credentials. Here are our winners.
Joint Gold: Kinder by Nature Plant-Based Wipes

I was impressed that these wipes are plastic-free, biodegradable and packaged in recyclable materials. They hold up well without tearing, making them reliable for cleaning even the muckiest poonamis!
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "We love this brand's messaging and sustainability credentials, and the wipes are super soft and packed with soothing aloe vera and chamomile. We can see why our testers loved them, even for the tenderest of bottoms."
Joint Gold: Rascals Premium Sensitive Wipes

My new favourite wipes! They are super thick and feel more like little cloths than wipes, they didn't irritate my children's skin and, best of all, they come out one at a time.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "Rascals have really conquered their wipes; not only do they feel heavy and thick, but the quality makes them excellent for those messy poo clean ups."
Available from Tesco
Silver: Mamia Extra Sensitive Baby Wipes

You absolutely won't find a better value water and plant-based wipe on the market. I couldn't believe the quality and softness for the money; they feel premium and were extremely soft and mild on my little girl's face and hands.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "These are such great value wipes, and affordable enough for having packets dotted around to help with hands – they're gentle enough for faces and bums, too."
Bronze: Kinder by Nature Water-Based Wipes

My baby has very dry skin and I saw a noticeable improvement when I used these wipes. There was less redness and her skin felt really hydrated. In comparison to other wipes, I found these to be gentle, smell subtle and wipe across the skin smoothly.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "All natural and compostable baby wipes, these are one of the kindest wipes for the planet. We love the wipes' eco-credentials, being plastic-free, 100% biodegradable and chlorine-free, plus the packaging is 100% recyclable, right down to the label."
Best Disposable Nappies
Nothing beats the convenience of disposable nappies, but when you're choosing what to put against your baby's delicate skin, quality really matters. A great disposable nappy needs to be soft and comfortable for your baby, very absorbent, flexible (especially once you're into the crawling stage), leak-proof and kind to your baby's skin.
Our group of baby testers put all kinds of disposable nappies to the test, with a little help from their grown-ups. Looking at how easy they are to get on and take off, how gentle they feel against the skin, how well they contain wees and poos, and if they offer value for money, our parent testers gave their verdict on which deserved a spot in our awards. These are our winners.
Gold: Rascals Premium Nappies

I love these! We didn't experience any leaks, the material is very soft and my daughter had lots of freedom to move. It's great having the wetness indicator and the large side tabs kept all wee and solids in.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "Lovely, big sticky side tabs, held poonamis brilliantly, and they are super absorbent – just what you want – making this a great all-round nappy."
Joint Silver: Mamia Size 2 Nappies

I have tried all of the own brand and branded nappies and these are hands down the best. They feel great quality, they perform fantastically and leaks are very rare. I am amazed at how cheap these are!
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "A brilliant performing budget nappy, that holds urine really well; our testers were amazed by the price and quality."
Joint Silver: Peachies Nappies

These have been a game-changer for my daughter. With all her movement, I need a nappy that stays in place without leaks and these deliver perfectly. The fit is snug yet comfortable and the softness is gentle on her delicate skin. I couldn't ask for better.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "Our testers loved the softness of these nappies (they really are so soft!), and found them particularly good for babies with slight legs."
Available from Peachies
Best Nappies for Newborns
When it comes to nappies for newborns, only the softest and gentlest ones will do. They need to be ultra-absorbent to prevent nappy rash and provide good coverage to keep any poonamis safely contained. Plus, with newborns needing their nappy changed up to around 12 times a day, value for money is absolutely essential.
Our tiniest testers wore a range of newborn nappies to help recommend the very best. Our community of parent testers looked at things like adjustable fit and comfort for baby, how soft the material felt, whether they did a good job at containing any leaks and if they were worth the money. These came out on top.
Gold: Mamia Size 1 Nappies

The stretchy waistband means you get a nice, snug fit without effecting comfort, and the pockets at the front and back prevented any leaks or blowouts. These are great budget nappies that are still great quality; I'd choose these over more well-known, expensive brands.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "All of our testers LOVED these nappies for their newborns. They reported minimal leaks and said they were great value for money."
Joint Silver: Rascals Premium Size 1 Nappies

These nappies offer good coverage due to the larger size and we didn't experience any leaks, even overnight. I like the company's 'zero nasties' ethos and the materials used suit my newborn's delicate skin.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "Our testers babies remained dry and found these nappies absorbent and comfortable; a good mid-range nappy."
Available from Tesco and Morrisons
Joint Silver: Peachies Size o1 Nappies

The nappy material is so soft on my baby's skin and we seemed to have less nappy rash using these over some other brands. I love these nappies – they are incredibly absorbent, prevented blowouts up the back and are environmentally conscious.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "Peachies scored really well with how they held wetness away from babies' skin, and how dry the nappy felt, despite being heavy – with one newborn nappy change lasting for 5 hours or so!"

Best Nappy Subscription Service
If you feel like you're forever going to the shops to pick up more nappies, a subscription could be the perfect solution. Signing up to a nappy subscription service means there's one less thing to think about, with the right amount and right size of nappies delivered to your door when you need them.
Our community of parent testers gave their thoughts on how easy each subscription service was to use and, along with their baby helpers, tested the quality of the nappies, looking specifically at the fit, how comfortable they were and whether they were leak-proof.
Gold: Mama Bamboo Nappy Subscription Service

This subscription service was super simple to use and, once my order was placed, I received the nappies the next day. The quality of the nappies needs to be felt to be believed – they are as soft as cotton and just as leak-proof as the competition.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "A fantastic eco-friendly, no-commitment subscription service; we love that customers can come or go as a subscriber as they please. We also liked the actual nappies, with some testers, saying they are leak-proof."
Available from Mama Bamboo
Silver: Kit & Kin Eco Nappies Subscription Service

The website was intuitive to use and I like that a few days before every delivery they send an email reminder so you can change the size if you need to. The fact these nappies are kinder to the planet than traditional disposables is a massive win for me.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "Kit & Kin are one of the most accredited eco nappy brands out there, and we really like how with each nappy subscription, donations go towards protecting rainforests from deforestation."
Available from Kit & Kin
Best Overnight Nappies
A nappy that is leak-proof all night long is a dream come true for parents desperate for a decent night's sleep. To keep overnight wees contained a nappy needs to be well-fitted, absorbent and very comfortable. Nighttime nappies also need to be super-easy to put on and take off, to cause minimal disruption during those sleepy middle-of-the-night changes.
Our parent testers put their faith in a variety of nappies to see which performed well overnight. These are the ones that kept baby dry, stayed in place and impressed with quality.
Gold: Peachies Nappies

These are so soft to touch and the next-level absorbency meant not only less changes, but also less worry over my baby's skin. The softness and high back are my favourite features – these nappies are practical and comfortable.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "All of our testers couldn't get over how soft Peachies feel to the touch, and how good the absorbency was. They found these performed brilliantly at night, while keeping their babies' bums peachy soft."
Available from Peachies
Best Pull-Up Nappies
Once your baby starts to wriggle a lot during nappy changes, or even attempts to stand up, you may find it easier to switch to pull ups. If your baby is crawling or walking, a pull-up nappy is so helpful when it comes to changing on the go. Pull-ups are also ideal if you're making moves towards potty training.
Our parent testers and their wriggly babies put pull-ups through their paces to crown their award winner. Looking at how easy they are to get on and off, how comfortable they felt for the baby, how they coped with wees and poos and whether the quality matched the price, this is the brand that came out top.
Gold: Mamia Size 4 Nappy Pants

These nappies fitted comfortably and were flexible around the waist and leg cuffs, moving with my active child rather than restricting him. They are very good at locking in wee and keeping it away from your baby's skin, and we experienced no leaks.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "With overwhelmingly positive feedback, our testers couldn't fault these pull-ups – especially at their price point – making these Gold winners."
Best Reusable Nappies
If you're looking to make more eco-friendly choices for your family, reusable nappies are the way to go. Used instead of (or alongside) disposables, these soft, reusable designs can be machine washed and used over and over again – helping to keep nappies out of landfill and saving you money in the longterm.
Taking into consideration everything from how easy they are to wash and dry, how well they perform, comfort for baby and the ease of nappy changes, our parent testers shared their opinions on which reusable nappies deserved the title 'award winner'.
Gold: Bambino Mio Revolutionary Reusable Nappy

These are worlds apart from the reusable nappies I've used before. I'm impressed by the design, quality and ease of use; the material is soft and the double elastic liners are a great touch to keep everything in, even runny poos.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "This Bambino Mio truly is revolutionary. It contained, in the words of our tester 'the most almighty poo you have ever seen' and in the words of another judge 'these came in the nick of time. My son had an upset tummy with very watery poos and these didn’t leak!' These really are the gold standard reusable nappy."
Best Swim Nappies
Taking your baby swimming is a great bonding experience and nothing can match watching your baby splash and giggle in the water. The last thing you want is a badly-fitting nappy to spoil the fun, which is why a swim nappy is an essential purchase before you hit the pool.
Our parent testers took to the water with their babies to test out a mix of swim nappies. Comfort, how easy the nappy was to get on and take off, how leak-proof it was and whether it restricted movement were all big considerations when rating which swim nappies performed best. Here is our winner.
Gold: Splash About Happy Nappy DUO

This is the only swim nappy you'll ever need to buy! It's excellent quality, the material is thick so you're under no doubt that the nappy will hold what it needs to and it didn't restrict her in any way during swim sessions.
MadeForMums Editorial Team say: "An essential for all water babies, this swim nappy can't be beaten! The thick, hard wearing neoprene pants fit snug as a bug, and are brilliant at poo containment. But the best bit is the innovative anti-bacterial layer which destroys any faecal bacteria before it seeps into the water, so no one gets sick if there is an accident!"
