Ingredients

20g butter
100g onion, chopped
100g carrot, diced
75g celery, diced
175g potato, diced
200ml water
150ml milk

Method

1. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the onion, carrot and celery and fry for 5 minutes.

2. Add the potatoes, water and milk. Bring to the boil. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

3. Add the peas and haddock and simmer for another 5 minutes. Blend until smooth, or, for older babies, mash with a fork and leave a few lumps in, then stir in the cheese.
