This is a great breakfast go-to for your baby – and for you, too! Oats are a good source of iron and adding a vitamin-C-rich berries to your oats helps your baby absorpt the iron.

Frozen berries are just as nutritious as fresh, so keep a stash in your freezer to dip in whenever your family need a berry boost.

  • 1tsp unsalted butter
    or plant-based spread
  • ½ apple
    peeled or finely diced
  • 25g porridge oats
  • 25g blueberries

    Method

    • step 1

      Melt the butter or dairy-free spread in a saucepan.

    • step 2

      Add the apple and sauté for 2 minutes.

    • step 3

      Add the remaining ingredients.

    • step 4

      Stir over the heat until the porridge is bubbling and the blueberries have softened. Serve.
