  • 150g Cauliflower
    chopped
  • 200g Potatoes
    peeled and diced
  • 40g Unsalted butter
  • 250ml Baby's usual milk
  • 25g Plain flour
  • 75g Cheese
    grated

    Method

    • step 1

      Place the cauliflower and potatoes in a pan and cover with water. Bring to the boil and simmer for around 15 minutes until tender.

    • step 2

      While they are cooking, melt the butter in a saucepan and add the flour. Stir slowly until a paste forms. Whisk in the milk and then simmer for 2 minutes until the mixture thickens.

    • step 3

      Stir in the cheese, reserving a little, and vegetables.

    • step 4

      Place the mixture in an oven-proof dish and sprinkle with grated cheese.

    • step 5

      Cook under a medium grill until golden (about 10 minutes).

    • step 6

      Mash to the required consistency.
