She may be a royal and used to a high-flying lifestyle, but it seems five-months pregnant Kate Middleton would rather buy her casual maternitywear clothes from Topshop, than a designer boutique.

Spotted at the high street brand’s London flagship store on Thursday, the Duchess was seen browsing the pregnancy clothes range before investing in a Deidre Dress (£37) from Lovestruck, a brand stocked by the shop.

The floral frock has a sweet mandarin collar, cross-over neckline, and an elasticised waist to accommodate her growing bump.

Creator of the dress, designer Erika Shall told Us Weekly, “It’s so exciting the Duchess bought one of my designs. I think it’s great Kate wears high street brands.”

A fellow shopper even saw the mum-to-be and tweeted excitedly, “Oh just an average day, Kate Middleton smiled at me! Oh best bit… this was in Topshop. Truly beautiful.”

Kate hasn’t let her pregnancy get in the way of her royal duties, returning to work after a short-lived babymoon break and heading to a friend’s wedding in the Swiss mountains.
