Rod Stewart to be a dad – for the eighth time!
The 66-year-old singer reveals that Penny Lancaster is pregnant with their second child
Proving that there is still life in the old rod, ageing rocker Rod Stewart has announced that he’s going to be a dad for the eighth time – at the age of 66.
The legendary singer is expecting his second child with his third wife, Penny Lancaster, 39, whose due date is in March next year. The couple already have 4-year-old son Alastair and are said to have found out their baby news whilst celebrating their third wedding anniversary.
“We were thrilled and delighted to be able to tell Alastair that he was going to be the big brother to a little baby, expected just before Mummy’s 40th birthday,” the happy couple announced through their agent.
Penny has previously spoken out about their desire to have a sibling for their toddler son, and now it seems their dream has come true. The upcoming arrival to the Stewart family will join Rod’s other children Sarah Thubron Streeter, 46, Kimberley, 31, Sean, 30, Ruby, 22, Renee, 18, Liam McAllister, 16, and Alastair Stewart, 4. Phew!
