What is Alton Towers doing for Christmas?
Alton Towers is transforming into a winter wonderland this Christmas and — dare we say — the theme park has a sleigh full of festivities in store for you and your family in December.
The Christmas magic seems to have sparkled and settled in CBeebies Land, predominantly, with the Towers Street area decorated in all of its festive glory, too.
As you wander around Alton Towers, you and your little ones will have the chance to meet various Christmas characters, and we're sure if you ask nicely, you'll be able to snap a photo with the merry guests.
No family Christmas event is complete without Santa's Grotto! Santa has travelled from the North Pole to Mistletoe Lane at Alton Towers to spend quality time with your family. As well as meeting Santa, you can also take a photo with Mr Claus to commemorate the special day.
Alton Towers has pulled out all the stops with new activities for 2024, such as The Reindeer Games — an exciting adventure in search of a missing reindeer.
Plus, new for 2024, are the festive live shows...
Alton Towers festive live shows
Alton Towers has introduced not one, but two festive live shows for 2024 — oh no, it hasn't! Oh yes, it has! — including a Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime.
If you're not familiar with the Jack and the Beanstalk story, it follows Jack, a poor country boy, who sells his family cow to buy magic beans, which grow into a towering beanstalk reaching up into the clouds. Jack — naturally — climbs the beanstalk and meets an unfriendly giant, who he has to outwit.
The Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime is available in both the Santa Sleepover and festive stay packages.
The second festive show is The Sprout That Saved Christmas, where you and your family will be transported to Santa's Toy Workshop with his merry team of elves as they prepare for Christmas.
