December revealed as the most fertile month
Festive parties and cold weather mean this could be the month to get pregnant
If you’re trying to have a baby, then this really could be your lucky month!
December has been named as the most popular month for conceptions, reports The Daily Mail.
According to new research 9% of babies are conceived in December, and as the 10 most popular birthday dates in the UK are all in September, with an average gestational period for a baby being 40 weeks, September is roughly 40 weeks later.
Today, December 11, has also been highlighted as the day that more babies will be conceived than any other day this year. National birth records show that September 16 is the most popular birthday in the UK, and December 11 is exactly 40 weeks prior to September 16.
Scientists claim that winter is a more fertile season than summer because sperm quality is higher in the cold.
In addition the study claims that people have more sex in December than other winter months because of festive partying.
What do you think? Is it too cold to get your kit off, or does winter make you feel like making a baby?
