Amanda Holden: 'I'm never having another baby'
The Britain’s Got Talent judge says, after her miscarriage and stillbirth trauma, she won't put her family through more pain
Amanda Holden says she won’t have any more children because she doesn’t want to put her family through any more pain.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge has 2 daughters – Lexi, 8, and 2-year-old Hollie – with her husband Chris Hughes.
But, in between having Lexi and Hollie, the 43-year-old suffered a miscarriage in 2010 and a stillbirth the following year.
And, when she gave birth to Hollie in 2012, she says she "came close to death", losing a huge amount of blood and spending 3 days in intensive care.
"If I could, I would have more kids," Amanda told Essentials magazine, "but I can’t put my family through that again. Chris and I were talking about this the other day, saying how if we’d met earlier we’d have had more kids, but that you end up with the ones you’re meant to have.
"We’re incredibly lucky to have our girls."
From September, Amanda will stand in for This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby while Holly's on maternity leave.
And the mum-of-2 says her new job will fit perfectly around her family.
"I’ll be back to pick Lexi up from school, and Hollie’s at nursery a few days a week," she said.
