High school boy surprises girl with Down's Syndrome with amazing 'promposal'
Shaeden Wedel knew bringing a favourite snack to Carlie Wittman, who has Down's Syndrome, would persuade her to go to prom with him ?
Here at MFM we do love those stories that warm the cockles of your heart - and this one really got us.
18-year-old Shaeden Wedel has known Carlie Wittman for 8 years - ever since he became friends with Carlie's older brother.
The two seniors were planning to take Carlie to prom together - until Carlie's brother decided to take his girlfriend instead.
But Shaeden decided to go ahead and ask Carlie to prom. He appealed to her heart, asking her by giving her both flowers and her favourite crunchy snack - a packet of Doritos.
And he wore a custom-made tee that read: “I know I’m NACHO typical Dorito, but I’m going to be CHEESY and ask: will you go to prom with me?”

“My goal was just to make her prom as special as possible,” said Shaeden. "She keeps saying how she wants to be a princess."
Shaeden's romantic gestures seemed to do the trick - we think Carlie looks over the moon.
The story's made the headlines today - World Down's Syndrome Day - and we have to say, we just can't stop smiling.
Have a great date, you two!
