Helen Flanagan has revealed she's got an inkling she's expecting a boy – and has even picked out a potential baby name. The 24-year-old is expecting her first child with footballer boyfriend Scott Sinclair, 25.

"Scott’s known I’ve wanted to be a mum since pretty early in our relationship," the former Coronation Street actress told Ok! magazine. "So when I turned 24 we both felt it was our time to finally have our baby.

"A mum really is everything I’ve genuinely wanted to be. I think it’s the best thing you can be! I’m convinced it’s a boy – I love the name Flynn."

We reported last week that Helen had been suffering from terrible morning sickness, and she's revealed it's been the worst sickness she's ever experienced.

"I’m getting better now, but I’ve never known anything like it," she said. "I’ve only really been sick from hangovers but you feel like you’ve got a constant hangover.

"I couldn’t get out of bed some days because I was throwing up so much. At the most I’d be sick five times a day. I literally didn’t leave the flat for ages.

"The most I did was go to the shops and actually I was sick in Marks and Spencer once, as well as outside Starbucks."

Birth partner

Helen has been with her boyfriend for 5 years – except for a brief split in 2013 – and insists that they're "very compatible".

"Scott will be a great birthing partner too," she adds. "He’s so calm and together. Plus because the baby’s due in June, which is off-season [for footballers], he’ll be around to help out with the baby. I know he’ll be a fantastic dad."

Helen announced that she was to become a parent on Twitter last month, saying:

"Me and Scott are expecting our first baby in the summer. We are both so happy and so excited. Thank you for all your kind messages xxx."
