Kate Middleton shows off 6-month baby bump in unusual maternity dress
The Duchess of Cambridge reveals her growing 6-month baby bump in navy shift dress
Kate Middleton gave us our first glimpse of her baby bump at 6 months pregnant on a visit to Barlby Primary school in London. The Duchess of Cambridge was originally going to attend the event arranged by The Art Room charity in October – but had to postpone the visit because of her severe morning sickness. The mum-of-1 has now clearly put the sickness behind her and looked the picture of health on the visit.
Kate wore an unusual navy 60s-style shift dress with 4 flap-pockets on the front. No idea why she needs so much storage on her dress - we just hope they're there for snacks. A few choccie buttons would certainly keep us going through all that nodding, waving and clapping!
The roomy dress is by luxury womenswear and maternity label Madderson London and costs £450. Despite the designer price tag, the dress sold out almost instantly Kate was spotted wearing it. Showing that Kate still has as much 'sell-out factor' as her 17-month-old son Prince George – whose retro Cath Kidston jumper flew off the rails before Christmas.
But although Kate was looking pretty stylish, we have to say she might have been slightly out-dressed by Turner Prize-winning artist Grayson Perry. The flamboyant dress-loving artist wore a pussy-bow blouse under a voluminous black brocade dress.
Maybe Kate should take a few more style risks? Or do you like her 60s-inspired style? Let us know in the comments below.
