Kimberley Walsh celebrates baby shower with celebrity friends
Girls Aloud singer celebrated with Nicola Roberts but Cheryl Fernandez-Versini couldn’t make it
With less than a month to go until her first baby is born, Kimberley Walsh has held a baby shower with friends (and OK! magazine on hand to take the pictures).
The Girls Aloud singer was joined by fellow bandmate Nicola Roberts and actress Kara Tointon for the party.
But Kimberley admits she missed not having her bezzie mate Cheryl Fernandez-Versini there.
"It’s weird when you’ve got close friends that are missing," she told OK! magazine. "Cheryl tried so hard to make it possible to come but she’s so busy at the moment with work. She has booked 2 weeks off around the time the baby’s due so she can be around."
The mum-to-be reveals she had an excellent baby shower.
"It was amazing, so overwhelming. Being weeks away to actually having my own baby really hit home," she gushed.
Filming the birth?
With her due date only weeks away it’s no surprise the 32-year-old’s thoughts have turned to the birth.
And Kimberley says it’s an experience she’ll want to remember.
Initially she was unsure if she wanted the birth filmed or not, but has now decided that she'd like her partner Justin to film it.
"It's such a special thing and I think I'd like to be able to see it myself. But I don't know if, in that moment, Justin will have the composure to do it - and I wouldn't want to take away from his experience of watching it.
"Let's face it, he might not be thinking, camera moment! But if it's all going smoothly, I can't see why not."
Rather you than us, Kimberley!
