A picture of a mum breastfeeding in her graduation gown and mortarboard has gone viral. The picture of Jacci Sharkey was taken as she breastfed her 6-week-old baby when she recently graduated from University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia. The 24-year-old graduated with a Bachelor of Business, Human Resources Management and Marketing, which is a big enough achievement. But Jacci also had 2 babies in that time.

She then sent this picture of herself breastfeeding her baby before her graduation ceremony to the university to thank their support staff. With the 24-year-old’s permission, the university then shared the photo on their Facebook page, and it has since gone viral.

"Just wanted to share a photo from the most recent graduation that I am proud of," Jacci said. "I'm extremely proud that with the support of the Uni, during my degree I was able to have 2 babies and still finish my degree. Thanks USC!"

The picture has had more than 145,000 likes since it was posted yesterday - and over 5000 comments.

Most of the comments are extremely positive but some didn’t see what all the fuss was about. "This is pointless to share," said one, while another commented, "I completed University with a post-traumatic mental disability. Do I get recognition?"

This led to one supporter explaining, "The reason we salute a Breastfeeding student (to all the males that aren't educated in the physiology of birthing and breast feeding) is that both consume so much energy and focus that to be able to do both is actually a higher achievement than if just studying and working alone. Granted that it's only for a short period of time. It's like saying give me 40% of your vitality and 30% of your sleep and go study and do everything else you normally do."

Well said! So what do you think of the picture and Jacci’s achievement?
