10 painted pregnancy bumps you can't stop staring at
Artist Carrie Preston has painted over 130 bumps with striking designs
Bump painting when pregnant
It’s a trend that’s already popular at baby showers in the US – even Mariah Carey has painted her bump. But now pregnancy bump painting is well and truly taking off in the UK.
Bump artist Carrie Preston, from Cornwall, has painted more than130 pregnant women with her colourful designs.
"Pregnancy is one of the most important times in a woman's life, I feel really honoured to be able to paint a beautiful picture or message onto a bump," Carrie says.
"I feel that it allows the mummy to express her feelings towards her unborn baby. All the mums I have painted have found the experience really relaxing.""
Carrie's designs include Disney character favourites from Pinocchio, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, Winnie the Pooh and more. The mum-of-2 has also painted characters from children’s books, fairy tale castles, and even a depiction of twin babies sleeping in their mother’s womb.
