11-year-old boy racks up £1,000 Xbox bill
Schoolboy is in trouble for using his mum’s debit card online to buy games and accessories for his console
An 11-year-old boy is feeling the wrath of his very grumpy mum after he used her debit card to buy games and accesories for his Xbox online, reports the Metro.
Brendan Jordan’s mum Dawn had saved her bank card to the Xbox when previously buying items. Cheeky Jordan then found he could use the card details and spent a massive £1,000 on treats for his hobby.
“I work two jobs just to look after my family and pay the bills so I can’t afford these extortionate charges,” said Dawn.
Microsoft say there is a parental control on the system that can be downloaded to stop card details being saved and accessed again, so make sure your controls are properly set up. But we doubt that’s much consolation to Dawn right now…
