Dad Andrew Leech was talking a walk with his baby, 4-month-old Hayden, and his parents when a speeding car mounted the curb and crashed into them, in Sydney, Australia. Miraculously, Andrew and his baby have survived.

Dad Andrew turned his back and shielded his son, taking the full force of the car, which had lost control after the 82-year-old driver had a heart attack at the wheel. The crash sent Hayden's pushchair flying into the air. Luckily, baby Hayden was being carried in his dad’s arms at the moment of the collision.

The force of the car pinned the father and son against a shop window, and although Andrew had broken his leg, he managed to hold his hand over his son’s head. Hayden's grandparents were injured after being hurled into the air, but have recovered.

"He's lucky to be here but he wasn't meant to go that day," Andrew recalled to Sky News. "I can take the hit, that's what I was thinking. I can repair, there's no way he's going to repair."
