Amazing video of super quick waterbirth completely shocks parents everywhere
The 55-second video has been watched more than 17 million times…
A video of a quick - and uncomplicated - water birth has gone viral, after being posted by the new mum’s midwife.
Lisa Marie Sanchez Oxenham shared an incredible clip of her patient Audra Lynn giving birth to a baby boy with seemingly only a few contractions.
Watch it here – or below…
“My client Audra's beautiful second home birth,” Lisa wrote beside the video. “A midwife's role is fluid, providing whatever is necessary for each individual birthing experience, although almost always that role is simply to offer the gift of quiet #thisisbirth #waterbirth #sacredjourneymiwfery #homebirth #midwives #birthlookslikethis #waterbababies.”
Naturally, the emotional delivery tugged on everyone’s heartstrings, and inspired over 58,000 reactions and 39,000 comments - in addition to being viewed more than 17 million times since it was posted on 3 September.
People are saying the video has 'stunned the internet' and we'd find it hard to disagree!
But it seems that when it first went viral, it was mistakenly assumed that Audra had given birth with just one push.
In fact, it appears that Audra’s baby’s head was already out, and this clip captured the last few seconds of her delivery.
"It's an amazing, uneventful delivery," midwife Lisa Marie reportedly said.
"What you cannot quite see in the video is that the head is already out. So I tell Audra to wait for the next contraction, and that's when the baby flies out.
"The mother's joy is so moving. When she says 'my baby son', it makes many people cry."
Undeniably! ?
It really does appear to be a smooth-sailing birth. Congrats to the new parents!
