Angela Griffin helps launch online storybook
Celebrity mum is the face of free interactive books
Actress and mum of one Angela Griffin is launching Learndirect’s new interactive storybooks, designed to keep the children occupied during the summer holidays, as well as getting the family together for story telling.
Just in time for the long summer holidays the storybooks called, ‘The Journey to Darkest Somewhere,’ and ‘The House of Scary Words,’ let children become the lead character and allow them to change the plot as they go along. Written by award-winning children’s author Peter Corey and illustrated by Charlotte Firmin, the books are available on Learndirect and are guaranteed to get your children interested in reading stories.
“The new online storybooks are brilliant,” says Angela. “It’s such a fantastic way for families to read and play together. My daughter, Tallulah, 5, loves going on the computer, so it’s a magical thing for her to have a storybook that’s about her, where she can change the pictures, match words and do puzzles. It helps bring reading to life for her, and for me.”.
What’s more – children can be in with a chance of winning their own personalised book in print! Entrants need to register their storybook before December 31 2009.
