Aw, the first pics are emerging of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's wedding day last weekend. But what’s that multicoloured stuff all over the bride's white veil?

It turns out that Angelina let her children decorate her wedding dress! Her veil – and the back of her couture gown – are embroidered with drawings by her 6 children.

Well, Angelina has previously said she would marry Brad for their children’s sake, so it's no surprise their kids played an integral part in their big day.

Atelier Versace master tailor Luigi Massi hand-sewed the kids’ designs onto the dress. "Luigi is like family to me and I couldn't imagine anyone else making this dress," the 39-year-old bride told People magazine. "He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together."

But her kids’ involvement in the wedding on 23 August at their French estate Chateau Miraval didn’t stop there – each child had their own duty to perform.

Sons Maddox, 13, and Pax, 10 walked their mother down the aisle in smart black suits.

Zahara, 9, and Vivienne, 6, were flower girls, tossing petals to make a path for their mum.

Meanwhile, Shiloh, 8, and 6-year-old Knox were joint ring bearers.

The kids even helped write their parents' vows – and Pax baked the cake!

"It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter," Angelina said. "It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family."
