Baby born in, and named after, an elevator
American baby arrived early in hospital lift and is named ‘Ellee’ by her parents
A mum gave birth in a hospital elevator less than hour after her contractions started, and has used her baby’s birth place as naming inspiration.
Crystal Leming, 25, and husband Patrick, 35, rushed to the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Kansas, US, but their baby couldn’t wait any longer and was born in the lift on the way up to the maternity ward!
The baby girl was named Alyssa Lynn ‘Ellee’(as in elevator) in honour of her unusual birthplace. “She has been marvellous and apparently already has a flair for the dramatic,” mum Crystal said, reports the UPI.com.
