This small baby monitor detail helped us survive sleep regressions

But the monitor allows you to give feedback when that happens. Over time, it got better and more accurate.

This feature isn’t instant—it takes a few moments to process a cry—but that’s expected. It became especially helpful during sleep regressions, when our 7-month-old, Eir, was unsettled for longer stretches.

We don’t use it constantly, but during those tired moments when you’re trying to work out what your baby needs, it’s incredibly helpful. It’s been a quiet support in the background.

The monitor arrived well-packaged, with recyclable materials and clearly labelled parts. I appreciated the small touches, like tidy straps for the cables and plug stickers that made setup simple.

Once set up, the monitor offered several smart features that helped us through everyday moments. It includes both sound and motion alerts, which can be set to high or low.

On low, it sometimes missed subtle signs like Eir stirring or gently crying. When set to high, it picked up everything—from baby babble to a door closing downstairs.

We eventually settled on using high sensitivity with visual alerts only during the night, to avoid constant noise notifications. One limitation is that you can’t adjust the motion and sound alerts separately.

Also, even on the lowest volume setting, the alert tone is very loud. It’s useful in the day, but too harsh for night-time.

The monitor also displays room temperature and humidity, which proved genuinely helpful when dressing Eir or trying to rule out environmental causes for restlessness. You can set your own alert range, although you can’t disable just one of the alerts—it’s both or none.

There are five lullabies and two white noise options, including rolling waves and a tumble dryer. They sound clear, but we noticed some of the loops have a small jump, which slightly breaks the calming effect.

We took the monitor on several trips, and it’s held up well. It’s sturdy, hasn’t scratched, and the cables stay securely connected.

The long cable made it easy to position the monitor away from plug sockets when needed. The only minor frustration came when switching Wi-Fi networks—the app needed reinstalling to work in a new location, but the parent unit continued to function as normal.

I also appreciated the small but thoughtful design features. The ability to turn off the blue light on the monitor, the clean aesthetic with a wooden base, and how easily the unit mounts and unmounts from the wall all made daily use easier.

We haven’t used every feature every day, but it’s been reassuring to know they’re there. The monitor has become a reliable part of our routine.

The built-in cry analysis has quietly become the standout. I didn’t expect to need it, but now I wouldn’t want a monitor without it.
