Baby pee on my clothes - that's my life, says Megan Fox
Transformers actor Megan Fox talks about baby and toddler chaos and what happened next when baby Bodhi peed on her
28-year-old actress Megan Fox has been talking about the unglamorous side of being a mum in an in-depth interview with The Stir.
Megan, who stars in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, is mum to toddler Noah, who's nearly 2, and 6-month-old baby Bodhi. Her husband is Brian Austin Green, one of the actors from the original Beverly Hills. 90210.
Despite the celebrity status of the couple, Megan reveals that the arrival of her first baby Noah was just as much an upheaval as it is for most mums, movie stars or not.
“From the moment I gave birth, even when [Noah] would sleep, I wouldn’t sleep. I would wake up every 10 minutes and look at him just to make sure he was still breathing.”
“I was just like, I love something so much that I will never be the same again. I will never be relaxed again because I will always be worried about him and hoping he’s OK and safe and happy.”
Having had her second baby earlier this year, she's clearly relaxed. “It’s total chaos,” she laughs. “I was holding Bodhi, and Noah was running around. I was trying to manage both of them because my husband wasn’t feeling well. My sister was with me and we were talking and Bodhi peed through his diaper and onto me.”
“I was so exhausted that I didn’t even bother looking for a wipe to clean me up. I was soaking wet, but I just let it air dry. If he’s fine, then whatever. I’ve been peed on, I’ve been pooped on.”
Despite her past roles in blockbusters such as Transformers and Jennifer’s Body, Megan feels that what has really tired her out are the challenges of being a working mum.
“I’ve never been extraordinarily ambitious or career-oriented,” she says honestly. “It’s so hard to be a working mum, especially when your heart is with your family. I have to make one movie a year because I have to have a future. I do need to work and I do need to leave them."
