We have the egg and spoon, three-legged and sack races but parents in China have gone one better with a cute crawling race for babies.

The race, held in a Hong Kong shopping centre, saw each baby crawl as fast as they could towards the finish line – where dad stood proudly waiting.

Each lane was decorated with daffodil flowers and carrots, matching the UK’s Easter spirit this weekend.

We wonder if a celebrity baby crawling competition would be a good idea – with Mariah’s long-awaited twins, the Beckham’s unborn daughter and Holly Willoughby’s baby Belle all at the ready?
