It's safe to say there probably isn't a bigger name in baby-wearing than Babybjorn. However, the Swedish brand doesn't only produce baby carriers.

In fact Babybjorn do a whole host of parenting products and they are now launching a new baby cradle bed. An interesting follow-on from their already-on-the-market (and rather successful) travel cot.

What’s cool about Babybjorn’s new bed?

Firstly, we should say the pic above is a prototype - and there's limited info right now. but what we do know is that the cradle is suitable from birth to 2 years, making it a fairly long-lasting crib.

So, it starts out as a cradle (high), turning into a bed when your little one’s ready to move on (low) – as you can see in both pics, and can be adjusted into 2 positions: high and lower.

The prototype we saw definitely had the hallmarks of cool, Scandinavian design. It's a stylish white with light, wooden stands, and covered in breathable mesh fabric.

Babybjorn tell us it’s had the seal of approval from doctors, and is appropriate for current safe-sleeping guidelines.

It’s also approved for EN 716 – the European safety regulation for all cots and cradles bigger than “900 mm, but not more than 1,400 mm”.

When is Babybjorn’s bed out in the UK?

Babybjorn told us you can expect the bed to hit shelves in May 2019. We’ll let you know where you can buy it from, when we know.

There’s no price yet either, but like we said, we’ll keep you posted ?
