BabyStyle Oyster Carapace safety alert
Parents have been warned not to use the Oyster Carapace car seat in combination with DuoFix i-Size base
BabyStyle has issued a safety alert for its Oyster Carapace car seat and DuoFix i-Size base after it failed a crash test carried out by Which?.
Parents have been warned not to use the Oyster Carapace car seat in combination with DuoFix i-Size base, however fitting the car seat with a seatbelt is still a safe option.
Retailers including Mothercare and Kiddies Kingdom have removed the base from its listings, and BabyStyle are now displaying the safety notice on its listings for the Carapace seat and base.
If you've bought the Oyster Carapace seat with the base the best thing to do is contact the retailer from who you bought the seat, and they will discuss the best options with you.
You can also get in touch with BabyStyle directly through its contact page.
BabyStyle has now said it's committed to ensuring that any future car seat products they develop will pass all available test conditions available to products in EU.
