Beyonce wows at post-baby comeback concert
Four months after giving birth, Beyonce’s back performing with the Obama girls in the audience
Beyonce Knowles stunned at the weekend with her first post-pregnancy performance.
The superstar, who gave birth to Blue Ivy in January and hasn’t performed for 9 months, exploded onto the stage in an array of custom-made costumes at Revel Resort & Casino in Atlantic City, US.
“I gotta say, it feels so good to be back home on stage,” Beyonce told her fans, reports Us Weekly.
The new mum shared with fans how she’d prepared for the concert with a post-baby weightloss regime.
“Y’all have no idea how hard I worked,” the new mum said. “I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on that treadmill. I ate lettuce!”
The singer revealed that now she’s part way through the 4-concert weekend, she’s going to celebrate with a well-earned treat.
“Now tonight I’m gonna get chocolate wasted!” Beyonce said, coining the phrase from Adam Sandler’s comedy film Grown Ups.
Jay-Z, who was in the audience supporting his wife, tweeted: “‘I'm gonna say this and then I'm gonna end mine.’ BEYONCE is the best performer in the world. Period.”
Jay-Z wasn’t the only A-List celebrity at the show on Saturday. Michella Obama and her daughters,13-year-old Malia and 10-year-old Sasha, who Michelle recently revealed are big fans of the singer, were reportedly in the audience.
No doubt Beyonce would have been delighted to have them in the audience, sicne she has made no secret of her admiration for the First Lady. Beyonce famously penned an open letter to Michelle in which she thanked her for being a great role model for her daughter Blue Ivy.
Beyonce has certainly proved she’s the comeback queen. After having wowed us here at MFM with her first post-baby appearance, we wouldn’t have expected anything less from B!
