The lyrics in one of new dad Jay-Z’s tracks reveals the private miscarriage sadness he and wife Beyonce experienced before conceiving daughter Blue Ivy.

In the song, the rapper’s lyrics pay tribute to his new baby girl. “She was made in Paris. Last time the miscarriage was so tragic, we was afraid you’d disappear…But nah baby you magic.”

The song, Empire State of Mind, continues, “The most amazing feeling I feel, words can’t describe what I’m feeling for real. Baby I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you.”

Beyonce gave birth on Saturday and the couple have released a joint statement revealing more details of baby Blue’s birth. They were also keen to quash rumours Beyonce had given birth by caesarean, saying, “Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7lb and it was the best experience of both of our lives.”

The hospital where Beyonce gave birth - Lenox Hill Hospital, New York - has also released a statement denying the famous pair paid over US $1million to hire the whole maternity ward floor.

“The suggestion that the couple paid $1.3 million to rent an entire maternity floor is simply not true. The family is housed in an executive suite at the hospital and is being billed the standard rate for those accommodations,” the statement read.
