Billie Piper reveals her postnatal depression struggle
The Doctor Who actress admits to suffering from the baby blues after giving birth to son Winston
Billie has revealed that her return to her role on TV series, ‘Secret Diary Of A Call Girl’, five months after having son Winston triggered postnatal depression (PND). “It was a stressful time, I had started leaving Winston and I was finishing breastfeeding, which is really emotional,” the actress confessed to Glamour magazine.
The actress refused medication to tackle the problem. “They prescribed pills but I never took them,” she said. “Pills frighten me.”
The mum-of-one has since recovered fully and revealed she’s become more body confident since becoming a mum, saying; “I’m definitely more comfortable in my own skin than I was 10 years ago.”
