“I ended up having an emergency caesarean and I was quite ill afterwards,” she told the Daily Mail, when describing her “epic” labour. “But I enjoyed the experience deeply.”

“Having a child is such a profoundly emotional moment. It’s a bit of a cliché, but it really is incredible how much the act of giving birth affects you.”

The singer-turned-actress declared that she’s happiest when spending time with her 15-month-old son, Winston, with hubby Laurence Fox.

“I really do love being a mum – it gives you an amazing sense of happiness,” Billie said.

However, she also admits she has her hands full, like most mums, describing toddler Winston as “very willful.”
