Beej – that’s what mum Binky Felstead and dad JP are calling their newborn daughter, India Elizabeth Felstead Patterson.

After enjoying a recent grown-ups only outing with friends, Binky namedropped her little one in an Instagram caption:

“Thank you Granny for looking after Beej so we can get a few hours to catch up with these muggins!! Feels like years!” she wrote.

Now, we reckon it makes tons of sense that India, who was born last month, would be given a pet name by her parents.

After all, mum Binky’s birth name is Alexandra – and she was dubbed Binky throughout her childhood, a name that stuck with her through to adulthood.

JP, of course, is a shortened version of dad’s full name, Josh Patterson.

Fans were also expecting the revelation of a pet name, with one commenting: “Told you they'd give her a nickname!”

A few things we don’t know, though: is Beej short for something? Where did it come from? And will it be sticking around when baby India's a toddler, and beyond?

Only time will tell – but in the meantime we’d love to know if YOUR child has a nickname or pet name. Did you outright decide what it would be, or did it just occur naturally?

And is it related to their birth name or something completely different? Please do share your stories on Facebook, or in the comments below!
