Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s kids “very happy" as parents’ get engaged
Hollywood power couple Brad and Angelina are set to tie the knot
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are engaged and their kids are said to be delighted.
Brad’s manager, Cynthia Pett-Dante, confirmed the news on Friday. “It’s a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date said at this time,” she said.
Brad, 48, allegedly popped the question and presented Angelina, 36, with a larger than life diamond ring that he spent the best part of a year designing with jeweller Robert Procop.
In December, Ange told Nightline that their three biological and three adopted children had been asking why mum and dad weren’t married.
“You don’t have to be married to be committed to a partner or your family. We’ve explained to them that our commitment, when we decided to start a family, was the greatest commitment you could possibly have,” said Ange. “Once you have six children, you’re committed.”
However, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter back in January, Brad said, “We’d actually like to [get married], and it seems to mean more and more to our kids.” And when referring to the prospect of more children Brad said, “[We] haven’t closed the book on it.”
The couple had previously stated that they wouldn’t marry until gay marriage was widely legalised.
