Breaking news: Royal baby is due in July
Palace confirms it's a July due date and that Kate's not expecting twins
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s baby is due in July, St James' Palace announced today.
The Duchess is believed to be around 13 to 14 weeks pregnant and confirmation of the birth month means it is likely she has now had her 12-week scan. This would mean the baby's due date is around mid-July.
“Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July,” a St James's Palace spokesman said, according to The Daily Mail.
“The Duchess's condition continues to improve since her stay in hospital last month.”
The announcement was made at 11am today by St James’s Palace.
A spokesman for the couple said Kate's condition is continuing to improve following her stay in hospital last month for severe pregnancy-related sickness.
The annoucement also confirms that Kate is expecting just one baby, after speculation that she might be carrying twins.
Here at MFM HQ we're already excited at the thought of the street parties in July to celebrate the new royal arrival!
