The dad-to-be's tiny twinkletoes is expected to arrive around two weeks after the final of the popular BBC show.

Cole told Bang Showbiz, "There would be no way I would miss the birth. My wife, Zoe, and the baby are my priority."

"If me and Victoria get through to the final and Zoe goes into labour," he continued "I would rush right away to be with her."

It's the first time we are seeing a sensitive side to Brendan's renowned flirtacious, and occasionally arrogant ways.

Lisa Snowdon, whom he described as the "best partner" he’s ever had, reportedly only received that compliment because she allowed Brendan to "be the boss... 100%", Cole told The Mirror.

Talking about his wife’s pregnancy, Cole said, "Like all women she’s had her share of ups and downs," he explains, "but so far there have been more ups than downs, so we’re all doing great."

He famously caused scandal on the show after having an affair with newsreader and Strictly partner, Natasha Kaplinsky.

Having previously been linked to a list of ladies that would rival any playboys', perhaps the arrival of a mini-Cole will put his ladykilling ways to bed.
