Britney Spears and Gwen Stefani – opposite opinions on the effects of fame on their sons
Britney says her sons love the limelight, but Gwen worries the attention her boys receive may ruin their lives
Celebrity mum-of-two Britney Spears has spoken about how her two young sons Sean Preston, 5, and Jayden James, 4, have inherited her performance genes.
Britney revealed that her sons love to show-off their skills. “If they have a love and passion for the arts and that’s what they want to do, then so be it. They are both little actors and so charismatic. I wouldn’t be surprised at all,” said Britney to Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
While Britney’s sons are happy to entertain and be in the limelight, fellow singer and celeb mum Gwen Stefani isn’t so happy about her sons, Kingston, 4, and Zuma, 2, being in the spotlight.
Talking about her high profile family, Gwen admitted she worries how the attention will affect her two boys later in life. “I worry about the kids, their privacy, a responsibility for them and not knowing if this is going to ruin their lives,” Gwen revealed recently. “They’re exposed and they don’t have a choice – that scares me a lot.”
However, it’s not something she’s willing to worry too much about – at the moment. “I think they’re going to be fine. My children are very loved and hopefully they’re going to grow up and not be crazy because of it,” Gwen said.
