Pushchair brand Junior Jones, known for its luxury carbon fibre stroller the J-Carbon, has just announced the launch of its buggy visor - the J-Protect. The unique new product, which costs £34.99, has been designed to help protect against viruses for babies and toddlers from 0 to 3 years age who cannot wear face coverings when out in public.

According to Junior Jones, the visor has been designed to be a universal fit for most pushchairs. It should also be possible to adjust the hood of your buggy with the visor in place. Currently the only known stroller that it doesn't fit is the Mima Xari.

The J-Protect attaches to the hood of your stroller using magnetic straps so it provides a protective shield over the seat, whilst allowing airflow to circulate beneath the visor.

Once you've used the visor on your stroller for the day, it can be laid out flat and wiped down with antibacterial spray or wipes to be sanitised before you attach it back on to the hood.

As well as helping to protect against Covid-19, the visor has also been designed to offer some protection from traffic pollution, according to Junior Jones. With buggy seats positioning babies and toddlers at a fairly low level, this is an interesting idea for families living in polluted areas - we'll be following this to find out more about the evidence behind this claim and its effectiveness.

You can buy the J-Protect visor now directly from Junior Jones or on Amazon.
