Cat Deeley gives birth to her first baby
Ant and Dec, Kat's former SMTV Live chums, were among the first to congratulate the new mum
Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty have welcomed their first baby. The new mum announced that she's given birth to a baby boy on Tuesday morning.
"Beyond delighted to announce the birth of our baby boy last week. All doing well & we couldn't be happier... 3 really is the magic number!" the new mum tweeted.
No news on what they've decided to call him yet, but it looks like Cat's former SMTV Live co-presenters Ant and Dec could be angling for a mention.
Anthony Declan Deeley perhaps?
"Thank you darling! We are completely in love.... Can't wait for you to meet him xxxxx," Cat replied.
The So You Think You Can Dance host and her husband Patrick Kielty announced they're expecting their first child in September. "Exciting news... Paddy and I are so happy to be expecting our first child in the spring... Lucky us," she tweeted.
Cat and Patrick got married in a secret ceremony in Rome in 2012 and have the cutest getting-together story. They were friends for 10 years before Paddy sprung into action.
"I told him I was having a birthday brunch with friends at the Beverly Hills Hotel. He got on a plane to London, then another plane to LA, then he came straight from the airport with his bags, walked in, sat down and had brunch with me," Cat told Red magazine.
"And then, when I went to pay for everybody, they wouldn't take my card because it had all been taken care of. That's quite possibly the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me. And he was just sitting there hanging out with 12 of my friends, making everybody laugh. It was romantic, noble, kind of amazing and pretty hard not to fall in love with him."
