Celine Dion reveals she was originally expecting triplets
Songstress Celine Dion opens up about losing one of her three babies
Global superstar Celine Dion, 42, has spoken about the tragedy of losing a baby in the early stages of pregnancy, reports NY Daily.
Celine revealed she was pregnant with triplets and shortly after being told, one of the baby’s hearts stopped beating.
"He chose to let go to give space to his brothers to grow," said Celine on the loss of her baby.
Talking in a recent interview with Quebec TV’s e-talk entertainment show, Celine revealed she struggled with getting pregnant after several unsuccessful IVF attempts. Towards the end of 2009, Celine also suffered a miscarriage.
"It happens in life, in general, and people who are not on the TV or in the newspapers, they go through this all the time," said Celine after her miscarriage in 2009.
Celine gave birth to twins last month and named the boys Eddy and Nelson. Eddy is named after her record producer, Eddy Murray, and Nelson is named after the former South African President Nelson Mandela.
