Celine Dion’s husband describes birth joy
New dad Rene talks about birth of twin sons
Rene Angelil, the husband of singer Celine Dion, has spoken of the emotion and joy that he and Celine felt when their twins were born on Saturday, reports the Daily Mail.
“We have tried five times since March 2009 to conceive. It's very hard,” explained new dad Rene.
“So when Saturday at 11:11 came, and they showed us the first baby that was crying, we were crying.
“It was a very emotional moment, and even though we didn’t speak to each other, we were both thinking about the time it took.
“We are very lucky, very privileged and very fortunate to have these boys,” said Rene.
Celine and Rene have an older son, Rene-Charles, 9, who will be pleased to not have new sisters.
“I remember a few months ago when mum told him the day we were going to know if it was a boy or a girl or two boys or two girls…his reaction pointing to his mum’s belly he said, ‘I hope there’s not too many girls in there,’”.
Celine is reportedly planning to take three months-maternity leave before starting rehearsals for her new Las Vegas show in January.
