Are these the COOLEST baby name trends for 2017?
Apparently, Juniper is the new Jennifer, according to baby name trends from the past decade...
Ooooh we love a good baby name list, and this latest one from Nameberry does not disappoint.
The naming database site has released what it deems the top 40 coolest name trends from the past decade - essentially the monikers that on-trend mums and dads have been bestowing on their offspring.
And there are some corkers in there.
According to the site, names like Juniper and Jayceon are now what Jennifer and Jason were in the '70s, while names ending in 'lee' or 'ley' have also been continuously on the up for both boys and girls.
Juniper we really love, partially on the basis it is the main ingredient in gin ???
Obviously, there's a clear celeb influence in many of these names: Mila Kunis, Leighton Meester, John Lennon, Harper Beckham, Reign Disick, etc, all seem to have made an impact.
While the rest of the list has a very American vibe - which makes sense, given that the list was generated stateside.
Here's the lists in full:

But now that these unusual and uber-cool baby names are on the rise... does that mean we'll be hearing a lot more of them on the playground?
And by default, does that mean they'll become a little bit less 'different' and a bit more commonplace?
Only time will tell...
What do you think?
Are you inspired by any of the names? Or perhaps your little one's name is already on the list? Let us know in comments or on Facebook.
