Corrie's Mikey North reveals he and wife Rachael conceived on their wedding night
The actor – who plays Gary Windass on Coronation Street – tells all in a new interview
You probably best know him as his character Gary Windass on the ITV soap Coronation Street.
But in his real life, actor Mikey North is about to step into the role of first-time dad!
He and his pregnant wife Rachael sat down for an exclusive chat in this week’s OK! Magazine, where they discussed all things baby.
In addition to revealing they were expecting a baby boy in November - “I’m too impatient,” said Mikey - they also revealed that Rachael would like to have a water birth, and that the couple conceived not long after their January 2016 wedding.
"Judging by the date that the baby’s due, we think we conceived on our wedding night! Which I do remember, just about!" he joked.
"We are really fortunate. We weren’t expecting it to happen as soon as it did."
The soap star also shared how he found out Rachael was expecting…
"Rachael did [a] test. I was watching sports on the telly. She came down from the bathroom, and showed me the result. It said pregnant.
“I just said: "f**k, f**k, f**k" in quick succession. But in a good way!”
No doubt ? Huuuuge congrats to the happy couple ?
