Corrie's Simon Gregson announces baby in funniest way ever
The dad-of-2 shared a funny photo of his wife's baby bump on Twitter
Coronation Street's Simon Gregson has announced he's about to become a dad for the third time – in the funniest way ever. Wearing just a hat and jeans, the 40-year-old, who plays Steve McDonald in the ITV soap, clutches a can of lager while he shows off his beer belly.
But it's his wife Emma, 29, who looks the most shocked as she shows off her baby bump in leggings and a crop top.
"After a stressful few months....myself and @emmagleave are excited to announce....." the Corrie favourite tweeted.
The couple are already parents to young sons Harry and Alfie.
Simon's Corrie co-stars were quick to tweet their congratulations – including his on-screen mum Beverly Callard who said: "Oh so thrilled".
The baby news is the latest in what's been a bit of a Corrie baby boom with Catherine Tyldesley, Jennie McAlpine and Paula Lane all having baby boys in the last 6 months. There must be something about those cobbles…
Congratulations both!
