Cristiano Ronaldo announces shock fatherhood
Out of the blue Real Madrid football star states he's a dad and that he's bringing his baby up alone - without the mum
Despite his team being knocked out of the World Cup, 25-year-old football striker Cristiano Ronaldo has something to smile about – he’s just become a dad to a baby boy.
The surprise news comes via his Facebook and Twitter page, where the Real Madrid player announced that he is now a dad to a son. More shockingly, he also revealed that the baby’s unnamed mum has given all parental rights to him.
“It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become a father to a baby boy,” his statement on Facebook revealed. “As agreed with the baby’s mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship.”
The world’s most expensive football player shared his news yesterday morning and his representatives have since confirmed the baby news saying; “Yes it’s true. We make no further comment.”
Sources have suggested the unnamed mum to Ronaldo’s son is American. His mum Dolores and his sisters Elma and Katia are also believed to be sorting out paperwork for the baby to be brought to Portugal where the player lives.
