Dannii Minogue takes baby Ethan to playgroup - as she reveals secret health scare
Former X Factor judge Dannii Minogue is snapped with her son after revealing a medical emergency earlier this year was "more painful than giving birth"
Dannii Minogue may be a judge on Australia's Got Talent and Melbourne Fashion Week's ambassador, but like all good working mums she still needs to spend time at playgroup with her 14-month-old son, Ethan.
Dannii was snapped taking Ethan to playgroup for the first time. The toddler was wearing a cute blue and white stripy t-shirt and a matching stars bib and socks. And just look at that face! Dannii's little man definitely has the model-stare going on already, perhaps taking after his English model (and ex-pro rugby player) dad Kris Smith.
The family is currently based in Melbourne, after Dannii left the X Factor earlier this year when she wasn't able to juggle her work and Australian homelife.
"It feels like the right time [to raise my son in Melbourne] because of my [fashion] label and being back home," Dannii said, reports the Daily Mail.
However Dannii revealed today that things weren't all smiles back in April when she was rushed into hospital with a burst appendix and thyroid condition. The 39-year-old admitted that the illness had left her thinking she was going to die.
"I rang the GP and said, 'If you don't do something I will die'. The pain was beyond anything - worse than giving birth to my son Ethan," said Dannii at a charity lunch in Melbourne, reports the Mirror.
"I didn't feel like I was in my own body but I'm feeling great now," she added.
Happily she's back to full health now, easily carrying around her fast-growing son!
