Forget Movember, this is Dinovember: a time when plastic dinosaurs come to life during the night and cause as much destruction as they can.

Refe Tuma and his wife, Susan, came up with the idea to add a bit of fun to their daughters' mornings. Every day this month, they've been showing their kids photographic 'evidence' of their plastic dinosaur toys have been getting up to while everyone was asleep.

It started small, Refe says. His children woke up to find the dinosaurs had got into a box of cereal and made a mess. Then it grew: the dinosaurs disrupted the fruit bowl next. After that, the dinosaurs staged full scenes of destruction.

“Why do we do this?” Refe writes on his blog Medium, “Because in the age of iPads and Netflix, we don't want our kids to lose their sense of wonder and imagination.

“In a time when the answers to all the world's questions are a web-search away, we want our kids to experience a little mystery. All it takes is some time and energy, creativity, and a few plastic dinosaurs.

"Childhood is fleeting, so let's make sure it's fun while it lasts."

The couple want more people to join in: you can find them on Facebook and share your own dinosaur demolitions.
