Eddie Redmayne announces baby news at Golden Globes
Hannah Bagshawe looked stunning on the red carpet
Eddie Redmayne may have missed out on an award at the Golden Globes last night, but he still had plenty to smile about… The Danish Girl actor is going to be a dad!
The 34-year-old announced his happy news on the red carpet while being interviewed by TV host Ryan Seacrest.
When asked if his wife Hannah Bagshawe is pregnant, he said, "That is true."
The couple, who married in 2014, were then presented with presents for their first baby including baby grows reading "You Should See My Crib" and "Milking My 15 Minutes".
"I'm sweating now," Eddie laughed. "She's calm, I'm not."
Hannah is reportedly due to give birth in late spring – and Eddie is clearly feeling protective as he guided her around the busy red carpet.
The happy announcement will hopefully be what Eddie remembers most from the night.
The actor lost out on an award for his lauded performance as Lili Elbe – one of the first transgender people to ever undergo sex reassignment surgery. Instead, Leonardo DiCaprio won Best Actor for his role in The Revenant.
The handsome couple looked stunning on the red carpet – Hannah wore a floor-length black gown with tiers of fabric that managed to disguise any hint of a baby bump.
Congratulations to Eddie and Hannah!
