Egg launches the new EggZ stroller — see the key features
The new EggZ is the newest lightweight stroller offering from Egg, retaining the brand's luxury feel but with a more compact frame and a neat one-handed fold
The newest (and smallest) addition to the Egg family, the EggZ stroller has launched, offering parents a smaller and more compact version of the popular Egg2 pushchair. With a smaller, curved chassis, a one-handed, compact ‘z-fold’, and a lie flat seat unit, this stroller retains most of the qualities and luxury you would expect from Egg, but with more travel-friendly features.
What are the EggZ's best features?
One-handed, z-fold system — One of the standout features of the EggZ is its one-second, one-handed fold. The stroller will self-fold in seconds after the click of the release button on the handlebar and fold down to a compact, freestanding unit easily picked up by the bumper bar.
Three point, one-handed recline — The deeply-padded seat unit has 3 recline positions, including a lie-flat position which Egg says it suitable from birth, plus soft-touch fabrics and an integrated headrest. The seat unit is forward-facing only, and also has an integrated foot rest and two-position calf-adjustment for a comfy ride.
All-round suspension — Designed for a smooth ride, the EggZ has all-round suspension, puncture proof tyres, and swivel front wheels with a unique Egg-shaped tread pattern. There's also a flip-flop friendly brake pedal with a ‘traffic light’ red and green indicator.
Extendable Canopy – With a UPF 50+ protection, the large canopy retains the traditional Egg style, and provides great protection. The hood has a ‘hidden’ zipped ventilation net, which can also be used as a peekaboo window.
Storage — A notable feature is the EggZ’s extendable shopping basket. Offering decent depth and length for such a compact stroller, it has a 3kg capacity and provides lots of storage space for you and your baby’s essentials.
What age is the EggZ suitable for?
The EggZ is suitable from birth up to a weight of 22kg (approx. 4 years). Its one-handed, three-position recline enables the seat to lie flat, although it is forward-facing only. It’s also worth noting that the EggZ is not suitable for use with a carrycot or a car seat, worth bearing in mind if you’re planning to use the stroller from birth.
How much does the EggZ cost?
The EggZ stroller currently retails at £399 and is available in 4 colours: Seagrass, Feather, Quartz and Jet Black. The package comes with the chassis, wheels, under-seat basket, seat fabric, bumper bar, canopy hood, and a raincover.
Where can I buy the EggZ?
The EggZ is currently available from John Lewis, or you can find a local stockist on the Egg website.
