Elton John worries his son has no mother
Singing star Elton admits son Zachary may be heartbroken
Ever since Elton John and his partner David Furnish adopted their son Zachary 18-months ago, they couldn’t have appeared happier.
In an interview on US news channel NBC, Elton, 65, said he’d never seen a more contented child than his son, but admitted, “it’s going to be heartbreaking for him to grow up and realise he hasn’t got a mummy,” reports the Daily Mail.
Zachary was born in California using a surrogate and donor egg with both Elton and David donating sperm. The couple have said they are keen for Zachary to have a sibling and may well go back to the same egg donor so that there would be a biological connection between potential siblings.
Elton said “I’d love to have more children… I want Zachary to have a brother or a sister to go to school with him, so that he can have someone to play with.”
Talking about becoming a parent, the singer also said, “You have never seen two more contented people as David and I.”
